Alistair Dornan - CEO

Alistair Dornan has over 24 years experience in the upstream and mid stream petroleum industry. Dynamic and ambitious, he has split this time evenly between Operator and Service Company roles. He is CEO for the Sigma Group for which ClerkMaxwell Limited is a subsidiary along with sister company Sigma Offshore Limited.

A Process Engineer by background, Alistair joined Shell International’s Graduate Development programme from the University of Strathclyde in 1985. His rapid progression gave him exposure and experience across the full petroleum lifecycle, across several countries and for both offshore and onshore developments and operations. This also included being selected for Shell’s tailored MBA programme early on in his career.

Alistair was previously Managing Director of Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants and Executive Chairman of Xodus Group, where he also started up their Australian office. He therefore brings unrivalled knowledge in the management, leadership and delivery of the ClerkMaxwell business.
