Feasibility & Conceptual Engineering

Feasibility & Conceptual Engineering is a core business area for ClerkMaxwell.

It is a key contributor to field development planning and requires experienced engineers with both depth and breadth of knowledge and who are able to challenge convention when needed.

It is during this early FDP phase of engineering and management where key decisions are made that shape field development plans and where projects are born (or not).

It is, therefore, essential that all information is collated accurately and analysed prior to these key decisions being made.

This early stage of field development planning can be complex with direction being driven by many variables and can be affected by reservoir engineering, drilling needs, subsea engineering and infrastructure constraints, topside engineering complexities and economic drivers. For this phase of work we provide a team with the correct knowledge base, skill and expertise to integrate with our clients and provide the following core services:

  • Concept Management and Selection
  • Process and Flow Assurance
  • Multi discipline input as required for topsides facilities and subsea infrastructure
  • Cost Estimation
  • Project Planning
  • Risk Assessment.

Using our expertise and applying the above core services we can quickly develop a wide variety of field development options, from straightforward tie-backs to existing assets to extended well test facilities with new and innovative
production and export systems.
